What is Delta Sharing? Delta Sharing is Databricks’ secure data-sharing platform that allows you to share data and AI assets with users both inside and outside your organization—regardless of whether they use Databricks. Delta Sharing also serves as the foundation for:
  • Databricks Marketplace, an open forum for discovering and exchanging data products
  • Clean Rooms, a secure, privacy-preserving environment where multiple parties can collaborate on sensitive enterprise data

Getting Started

Follow the steps below to begin accessing blockchain data through Databricks Delta Sharing. 1. Select a Recommended Region For best performance, we strongly recommend using a Databricks workspace in AWS US-West-2. Delta Shares can also be configured for other regions upon request. 2. Get Your Databricks sharing identifier You can find this in your Databricks workspace Catalog Explorer under the Delta Sharing tab 3. Request Access Ready to get started? Contact us to request access to a Databricks Delta Share. Once access is granted, the shared data will appear in your Databricks workspace. A metastore administrator, or a user with the appropriate privileges, can create a catalog from the share to make the data available across your organization. After the catalog is created, you can query the shared data using standard SQL commands—just as you would with local data.
